The Vicky Boodram story has all the details of what is wrong in our corrupted T+T. Money, power, corruption which includes the corruption within state institutions like the police, prison services and the judiciary  which together constitute a failed criminal justice system. But Vicky could not and did not do this on her own. Other supposedly good citizens - family? friends? - also had to be involved. And as I suspected nobody is taking responsibility/being held to account: The Police Service issues a statement, Immigration issues a statement; the Prison Service issues a statement. Corruption, absence of accountability, impunity by criminals - white collar and violent, are all manifestations of the failed First Republic. T&T - It's Time for the Second Republic!
